Wow, my mind is short-circuiting a bit here!  Wow, Marvin Brown & the Sharable gang are wicked smart!

Linked here is a truly enlightened conversation on a possible future of our economy, one based on civic engagement verses property ownership.  Before digging in, here are a few bullet points that are blowing my mind…

- Considering what links those that work and those that rule, as long as our relationships are based on what we own or do not own, it will probably be fear.

- In considering how to shift systems, one can change power relations by changing how things are organized—by changing systems. Changing systems occurs through changes in education, incentives, and regulation.

- All human communities must do at least three things: provide for one another, protect one another, and maintain a meaningful social life in which all can participate.

So, it would seem that today true power comes from our ability to organize, not to control or own.  Power is an attractive quality that pulls people towards us, where force is an agressive quality that pushes people from us.

Let’s be powerful and let’s organize around manifesting our greatest dreams and passions.

As always, thanks for listening and happy reading!

Ryan!
