Happy Earth Day Gang! What a glorious day it is! It’s one of those rainy days in NYC that offers an aire of stillness, which is so unique and invigorating. It’s awesome because New Yorkers are know to be always on the go and everything they do is about serving that which inspires them. I love this about New Yorkers and it’s such a relief when we have the opportunity to kick back and enjoy life. Oh, rainy days in NYC! I’m going to find some puddles to jump into in a few, while I ponder how I will bring the consciousness of Earth Day into every day!
So, last night I was invited to join some friends for a yogic journey, dance and musical celebration in a former church converted into a breathtaking home in Harlem. The night was pure magic! It was one of those experiences where every moment seemed to stimulate my spirit even more than the prior. It felt like an energy ball of pure bliss was growing inside me as the night rolled on.
Being the introspective guy that I am, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to witness and explore this feeling of joy. What was it about this evening that allowed this feeling of pure bliss to build inside me in a way that I don’t experience to this magnitude in my day to day life. The answer was clear and emerged in immediately upon asking the question of myself… incredible things happen when I get out of the way of my experience of life. The energy that built over the evening was simply so powerful that my mind was silenced to the point at which I could feel the love flow through me like a river. This brought the next reminder, which was that ‘love flows.’ Love’s natural order is to flow through all life freely, nourishing our spirit. The opportunity for us is to be open to allowing this love to flow through us.
Let us get out of our way and let love flow!
