If prosperity requires creativity, how do I join in on the fun?
Picking up on yesterday’s post, we started to unpack this lofty idea that a creative society is a prosperous society.  We explored our western definition/perspective of prosperity as opposed to a perspective based on quality of live and the accumulation of material stuff.  It became clear that if prosperity is related to a feeling of abundant joy and peace, material wealth has nothing to do with prosperity.  We ended with the assertion that to feel a sense of prosperity required the creation and curation of an environment and life that instills this feeling in us.  Perspective creates our reality!  This requires tremendous creativity.
In pondering this idea, I was reminded of a related article I wrote for my friend Sloane’s blog Causemopolis on this topic.  Have a read if your interested in going deeper into this question.  In short, I believe we are all born with infinite creativity.  It is our life experiences that either foster or inhibit our creative capacities.  And for each individual, creativity manifests in it’s unique form.  I hold that this diversity of creativity is essential to a prosperous society and further, it most flow freely through all humans.  The cumulative effect is a emergence of creative energies that, when harmonized, have the capacity to transform our lives, our built structures, our systems and humanity at large. Further, this flow of creative energy is tremendously expansive and acts to inspire even more creativity.  Everyone that is touched by a creative impulse, if open to receive it, is moved such that it inspires a creative impulse within them.  If we are able to feel this impulse to the extent that it inspires our one creative impulse, we then become an agent or host for this creative energy.  This is the source of infinite possibility for our planet.  I digress…
For each of us, creativity manifests differently.  I like to write, but sometimes I like to incubate complex structures in my mind and then manifest them in the world.  One many call this entrepreneurship, but for me this is simply a form of creativity.  For another, it may be cooking, or painting, or dancing.  It may be creating a wind tunnel out of massive sails such that the force of the wind can lift us in the air, which is a creative project envisioned by a new friend.  Or, it may be the development of a unmanned spacecraft that will mine Nitrogen 3 of Mars; another crazy idea of a new friend.  The point is, the possibilities are limitless.
What’s interesting and critical is that when we fully lock into our creative flow, a feeling of tremendous peace and complete joy or bliss emerges within us.  The construct of time falls away completely and we simply become that flow of creativity.  This flow is our connection with source energy that allows consciousness to flow through us freely.  As we connect with this feeling of bliss or joy, we are generating the experience of self-love.  In simple terms, by allowing ourselves to tap into our unique creative impulse, we are loving ourselves.  As seen another way, when we allow creativity to emerge in us, we are simultaneously allowing the experience and energy of love to flow through us.  This energy is always there and available to us.  Creativity and love are in abundance and always flow.  Whats required is that we allow this energy to flow through us.  We must be open to it and allow it to enter our experience.  Basically, when we are connected with our creative flow, love emerges.  As we align with this love, what emerges is a feeling of compassion that extends from ourselves to all life.  When we love, there are no boundaries.  We love ourselves as we love all life.  A compassion emerges that demands we honor and respect all life as one, as all life is intrinsically interconnected as one synchronistic system that unites us all in common purpose.
In short, when we tap into our creative flow, love emerges, activating a compassion and aligning us with actions that preserve a common good for all life.  This is prosperity!
So, if we desire prosperity, we must tap into our creative flow!  Thus, I ask you all, what’s your unique creativity?  Don’t know?  Just do that which you love.  Simple.  Keep doing that and then do it more and more and more.  What you will experience is a feeling of tremendous joy.  Prosperity emerges!
Love & Light,
Ryan!
